Point of no return was made by the pseudonymmet Ellen Kay (Ellen Jerstad and Nina Kay). In this project Ellen Kay examines the mechanisms of making choices. We are interested in the experience of choice, and the concept of free will, or lack of free will. We are interested in moral dilemmas as a tool to activate experience and reflection in our audience. In point of no return Ellen Kay uses dans, storytelling and scenographic room to create a situation where the audience is presented with a morel dilemma. To move on in the performance the audience needs to chose sides, physically in the room and morally. Additionally the content of their experience is manipulated visually so the experience of the performance depends on each persons individual choice.

During this project Ellen Jerstad and Nina developed the concept, text, koreografi, set design, lighting and sound design in the two-headed symbiosis Ellen Kay. This was our excam show from Skolen for Samtidsdans, now known as Høyskolen for Dansekunst in May 2012.

Ellen Kay was re-born 10 years after the original collaboration, and is now in early stages of a new project, namely TOUCHING AT A DISTANCE funded by Kulturrådet in 2020.

in 2018 our hard drive was stolen and documentation of this performance was lost.
